We have put in place a way that our guests are invited to make a conscious decision to make their stay more 'environmentally friendly' without compromising five-star service and style.

Green 'in room' choice

Our little 'green' in room leaf hanger allows guests to support our efforts by reducing the carbon footprint from their stay.

In the UK £140 million a year is wasted by leaving lights switched on unnecessarily. This causes 900,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. (Information provided by Directorv 28/09/07) You can choose to assist us try and reduce this by switching your own lights on when you enter the room.

An average a TV left on 'standby' for 17.5 hours everyday over one year will result in the generation of between 8.26 (3W standby consumption) and 19.22 (7W standby consumption) kilograms of carbon dioxide. You can choose for the TV to be switched off to help us in trying to reduce this figure.

The average washing machine uses 110 litres of water per full load. If you would like to make your stay a little “greener” and help reduce the amount of water, energy, detergent, and of course the detergent packaging that ends up as waste, you can offer to reuse your towels for a second day.

We provide bottles of water for your stay. If you have consumed less than half a bottle you can choose to consume the rest the next day rather than having it replaced with a full bottle.
